Republic man goes to prison for sexually abusing his foster children
Greene County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Patterson announces that Mark D. Obrien, 43, of Republic, MO was sentenced today for sexually abusing three of his foster children between 2007 and 2010. On August 13, 2014, the defendant was convicted of statutory sodomy in the first degree, statutory sodomy in the first degree, abuse of a child, statutory sodomy in the first degree, statutory sodomy in the first degree, statutory sodomy in the first degree, and statutory sodomy in the first degree following a four day bench trial before the Honorable Calvin Holden.
