CPS investigator Nicholas Santos was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child.
A Child Protective Services investigator is behind bars today, charged with sexual assault of a child. Nicholas Santos has been a Texas CPS investigator since 2006, according to agency spokeswoman Melissa Gonzalez. Dallas County Jail records show Santos was arrested on March 4th. Gonzalez says CPS has suspended Santos from his job. In a statement emailed to CBS 11, she said, "We are conducting an internal investigation. If we determine that these criminal charges are true, he will be fired immediately. There is no place in Child Protective Services for employees who betray the public's trust, or who take advantage of young people we are supposed to protect."
