Local foster mother honored for taking in 500 kids over 50 years

On Friday a West Michigan woman was honored for her efforts to give as many children as possible a home.

Note: Let's see, 500 kids in 50 years...

50 years * 365.25 days (gotta be fair about leap year.) = 18,262.5 / 500 kids = aprox 1 new kid every 36.5 days.

Now if she "gave them a home" as the article states, they're probably being packed in like sardines, although she could probably afford to buy a pretty big house with all that money. Or maybe she's just a kid hoarder. I don't know. Either way, the numbers do not show stability for these kids.
