Missing the point over state care child abuse
JOHN Brumby and his minister in charge of child protection, Lisa Neville, were this week trying to hose down an ombudsman's report into protective care in Victoria.
The pair did numerous radio interviews, held press conferences and responded in state parliament to the damning report, which exposes instances of children being raped and physically assaulted while in state care.
