Is There a Time Limit on How Long Child Protective Services Has to File Charges Against Parents?

I was so worried that Child Protective Services was going to pursue a court case against us, I forgot that we are innocent! Every parent has that moment of clarity when they KNOW that, in reality, there is no basis for the county to clog the system with another case that is impossible to prove. Why? Because there was nothing there to begin with, just a teenager that didn't want to come home to face the consequences of his actions.
