US President Barack Obama has canceled a meeting with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow which was scheduled for September. The move comes after Russia’s recent decision to grant temporary asylum to NSA leaker Edward Snowden.
Note: Yes we know the government fears truth so much that they would jail or shoot anybody who speaks it without a second thought. However, there is a more pressing issue that concerns me. In this article Obama states the following.
Obama has also voiced antipathy towards Russian legislation against gay rights activism, saying on the Tonight Show that he has “no patience for countries that try to treat gays and lesbians and transgendered persons in ways that intimidate them or are harmful to them.”
Now, what they don't tell you is that Russia recently banned foreign adoptions to France because of France's decision to legalize Gay Marriage. That law was written to ban the foreign adoption of Russian Orphans to gay couples. This simply because the Russians apparently value traditional families.
Also, those who are following along should remember that when Russia banned international adoptions of Russian Orphans to American's, the US claimed that it was due to the US Response to Russian Human Rights Abuses, by banning any Russian Human Rights violators from entering the United States. That was also inaccurate.
See, the media often lies by omission and attention diversion, so we rarely get the entire truth in one lump sum, and the normal people fall for it.
You see, this ban had been building up because of several high profile child abuse cases of Adopted Russian Orphans. In response to this, the Russian Government demanded access to abused Russian Orphans and the United States agreed. Until such time as it came down to the wire and the Florida DCF Agents refused access to one child.
Now that the ban is in place and no more Russian Orphans will be coming to the US, wanna-be American Adoptive parents of Russian Orphans are out of luck, and are probably whining to the government like Matt and Melanie Capobianco in the Baby Veronica case. On top of that, in response to the adoption ban, teh US has threatened to deny access to other Russian Orphans who may be abused in the future.
So really I think that in regards to Edward Snowden, Obama is just throwing in another card and the US is trying to make the Russians out to look like the enemy when it really goes a lot deeper than one whistleblower. I mean, I'm not saying that the Russians are innocent of any wrongdoing or anything like that, but God forbid that they should have any legitimate concern for their children who they have entrusted to American Adoptive Parents. I know I would if it was my kid.
