33 infant deaths at city care homes in eight years As many as 33 infants died at the Kerala State Child Welfare Council (KSCWC) care homes in the city, since 2003. This was revealed by KSCWC itself, following an enquiry by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights subsequent to the accidental death of a baby girl a few days ago. But the council authorities have done nothing much to ensure proper child care.
