Responsible for the welfare, rights and health of U.K citizens, the Department for Social Services operates within every regional community throughout the U.K, providing services and advice which range from child welfare to mental health. Each regional council has it's own Social Services division, with a department dedicated to child welfare and health monitoring. It is perhaps one of the most commonly criticized departments of Social Services, with many claiming that the individuals employed within the sub-department do not adhere to strict policies and codes of conduct, allowing their own feelings and interpretations to make sometimes poorly judged decisions.
