What would happen if foster parents had to do it at their OWN expense? Think about it. No check, no welfare, no child care, just them and the kids they "love" so much.

He is closer than most on the finances but foster care families shouldn't be getting food stamps, they can get WIC for the kids only, and free school lunches. And if they didn't get paid they'd have to use orphanages or as they call them now residential treatment centers (RTC). Better would be to cut the overhead funding that pays for the social workers (pay a fixed amount instead), and mandate that any agency that over loads a foster care social worker lose all the kids in its care. That's right they'd be considered worse than placing them with their parents. This should also be done to any agency that has a child die of preventable causes (i.e. abuse and neglect) while in its care.
