The Pierce County Sheriff's Department says a dispatcher's extensive questioning of a caseworker who tried to summon help to Josh Powell's home was inappropriate.
Ok I simply have to ask this question. How is thew 911 operator even in question here? The real question to me is the handling of CPS in this. Why were the visits not conducted at a safe spot? Most of the people that I know that lost custody and have CPS involved,typically have the visits at a safe spot. I know that it happens that the visits do on occasion happen at the parents home.
But in reality the man was a very serious person of interest in the death of his wife! On top of that the boys were supposedly talking about the night of the camping trip and how "mommy" was in the trunk! Is that not enough for the CPS worker to say hmm maybe we need to be a little more cautious and protective! Obviously the father was aware of the kids talking. I mean CPS treats people with lesser issues worse then they treated this powell guy. Truly this is the fault of the CPS and the simple fact that they should have done thier duty and as soon as the kids started talking as was stated in the news, visits should have ended! The police should have been notified about this developement. But even aside fronm those facts the simple fact is that this man was the prime suspect in his wifes death, not to mention the perverted grandfather. OMG if these were not red flags waving so boldly. Now because of the ineptness of CPS two little boys are dead and the blame game is being played.
