Vulnerable children are suffering twice
RECENTLY, a mother brought her infant to our clinic for a check-up. The doctor had finished, and the nurse was giving the baby his routine immunizations. "I'm thinking of killing myself and my babies," the mother said softly, through an interpreter. What happened next is what we do whenever the need arises: After calling ahead to explain the situation, we walked down to the emergency department with the mother and her child to be seen. Then we called the Department of Children and Families.
A recent article in the Leicester mercury newspaper stated that young girls, as young as 13, were prostituting themselves, within the streets of Leicester,and yes they were from a a Local Authority Children's Home.
ReplyDeleteI Called on the Local Councilors, within the area, to act under the clause of Corporate Parent, to secure the immediate safety of these vulnerable Girls.
I stated in a letter to this Newspaper, that the Director of this Home is suspended forwith impending inquiry.
Yes the Newspaper printed my letter, but deleted the important points,it looks like the press cover up the System abuse,these Children may of been abused by their Parents,and by the System, for the 2nd time.
