The Minnesota Department of Human Services has leveled fines against child and foster care providers in New Ulm and Blue Earth.
In New Ulm, the family child care of Kathleen Grausam was fined for allegedly caring for more children than allowed.
In addition, Grausam’s licensed has been placed on conditional status with DHS alleging some 30 violations over the past 3 years. Among the violations was one in 2017 when DHS says “children had access to an unlocked gun cabinet and a gun hanging on the wall.”
