If there was any kind of silver lining to be had from Jerry Sandusky’s yearslong criminal spree of child molestation and the see-no-evil enablers who looked the other way is that it increased awareness of child abuse, an abomination that has too often been swept under the rug.







The kids are getting sick of it too

By the time AI's troubled mother was ready to "surrender" to authorities, her children were starving, covered in bruises and lice, and the house was full of rotten food and maggots.

But when AI was taken into care, they received little explanation about what was happening, and the separation from their family was a further stress.

LAS VEGAS — A Clark County program that provides attorneys to foster children in civil cases involving abuse or neglect is set to get an additional infusion of money, the Las Vegas Sun reported.
