Suspected Hamster Killer Walks Free
Monique Smith, 19, was arrested after her 9-year-old brother accused her of killing his pet hamster. During a family argument in June, the teenager reportedly grabbed and choked the hamster, and then she threw it outside the house. Smith’s father actually contacted the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
