My boys are in an abusive foster home in Wales Maine. CPS doesn't see the signs at all. They are very black and white signs. Thank God I see them. It's pretty sad CPS is waiting for marks on their body before they willdo anything. There has already been one finding of abuse in this "home", with three allegations.Hello, keeping my children there will only be detrimental to my children. I think CPS needs to be trained better in noticing the signs. They removed my children for neglet, I am getting help. CPS is leaving my children in a pshycally, emotionally abuive "home". I don't get it either. What I will do is fight for their(my childrens) rights.

Actually, the sad thing is that CPS DOES, indeed, see the signs, but chooses to ignore these for a variety of excuses: Primarily, lack of promotion of Family-Centred Care Practice. Beyond this, lack of quality care-givers - particularly for children with challenges - thus, homes that are not appropriate are licenced - and continue to be allowed to operate - because there is nothing else. In reality, all studies have shown that the benefits of helping existing natural families, far outweighs costs associated with provision of foster care, yet rights of children - and families - continue to be evaded.
