Call for inquiry into injured foster kids
A 1 1/2-year-old boy who was in foster care is in a Calgary hospital with life-threatening injuries - and the NDP is calling for a public inquiry into Alberta's foster-care system.
"A serious injury to any child is definitely a tragedy," said Children and Youth Services spokesman Trevor Coulombe. "It doesn't signal there are fundamental problems with the system."

ReplyDeleteI beg to differ! The numbers of children in the AB foster care system who are emerging with injuries and death are growing despite assurances of "isolated events". One life lost is too many! To distract from the truth is criminal!
