Happy talk can't hide the facts: Gregoire's new TV ads leave out troubling record on child protection
Bellevue, WA...In her latest attempt to reinvent herself and reinvigorate her stagnating campaign, Christine Gregoire on Friday put out a TV ad touting her record on child protection. Filled with images of cute kids, it leaves the impression that Washington is a nirvana for all children who live here. But left on the cutting room floor are uncomfortable facts about Gov. Gregoire's ongoing failure to protect vulnerable children in the state foster care system.
