The Kansas Department for Children and Families has directed The Villages not to allow an employee accused of sexual misconduct to work in any location with access to children.
DCF spokeswoman Taylor Forrest said the agency was disappointed the Topeka-based organization that provides group homes for children declined a recommendation to fire Jeff Montague. Forrest said the agency informed The Villages of its new conditions for Montague on Sept. 17 and that the nonprofit’s executive director agreed to the order.
