MINOR TORTURED BY ‘ADOPTIVE’ MOTHER FOR OVER TWO YEARS

After receiving a direction from the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), the Chunabhatti police on Tuesday registered a case of child cruelty and exploitation against a 51-yearold woman, who, according to the CWC, had illegally adopted the boy two years ago and had subjected him to physical and mental torture ever since.
