Baby's death in Anchorage foster home leads to lawsuit, state payout
Two years ago, a sickly baby from Bethel was placed in an Anchorage foster home. One day, just as the foster family was preparing for his return to Bethel, the baby was laid face down on a pillow-top mattress. There, according to a wrongful death lawsuit, he suffocated.
