Two bills filed by State Sen. Charles Schwertner on Thursday are aimed at improving the lives of children in foster care and providing new resources to ensure child safety.
The Republican senator filed SB 1406 and 1407, which would allocate more resources to state agencies during foster care investigations and protect foster parents and agencies from punitive damages.
