The Washington Post recently ran an article discussing the issues faced by unhappy couples in the Philippines as a result of its divorce ban. The Philippines is the last country on Earth where divorce is denied to the majority of citizens, with only a few narrow grounds serving as possible exceptions to the blanket ban. Though this may seem like a good and noble way to create stable, strong families, experts say the reality is often far from ideal.
