Chereece Bell finished 350 hours of community service in connection to the 2010 death of 4-year-old Marchella Brett Pierce, who was starved and drugged by her mother. As a result, a misdemeanor charge against Bell was vacated, but she remains vexed that she was prosecuted. ‘I feel it was unjust, it was unfair,’ said Bell, a former supervisor at the Administration for Children’s Services.
