Sulphur woman arrested for allegedly filing false report of child abuse
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office announced the Wednesday arrest of a Sulphur woman for falsely filing a police report accusing a woman of abusing a seven-year-old family member. Deputies said they apprehended Stephanie N. McGehee, 19, after confirming that she made untrue allegations that she had observed a woman physically abusing a seven-year-old girl by striking the child on her buttocks and face, causing numerous bruises and marks.
