R.I. tightens procedures for prescribing psychotropic drugs for children in foster care
Rhode Island’s child welfare agency has brought in a psychiatrist to oversee the prescribing of psychotropic medications for youths in its care in the wake of growing nationwide concerns about the overreliance on these medications for foster children.
