Central Registry of Abuse and Neglect database accused of ruining lives

It’s a database with 275,000 names that’s supposed to help protect children.

But Michigan’s Central Registry of Abuse and Neglect has been described as a permanent blacklist, one that can ruin lives without giving those accused of child abuse or neglect a chance to challenge the findings of a Children’s Protective Services investigation before their names are added.
