Mom says judge ordered her to stop breast-feeding - but she lied.

Apparently the mommy blogs are going off over the following story about a mother who was ordered to give visits to the father.
Mom says judge ordered her to stop breast-feeding
A Pennsylvania mother is outraged after a judge ordered her to stop breast-feeding so her daughter can have overnight visitations with her father.
However:

Northampton County judge addresses 'fictionalized' order that would stop mom from breast-feeding
Northampton County Judge Stephen Baratta says he’s been getting phone calls from national media outlets and letters from outraged breast-feeding advocates over his ruling that a county mother not breast-feed her child in order to allow the baby to visit with her father.
But there’s one problem, Baratta said today: No such ruling was ever made.
Therefore she lied.
The case, he said, is about a father not being given a chance to visit his child.
Sorry ladies.

  1. I don't think the mother lied. The effect of the judge's order would interfere with breastfeeding, plus the judge questioned why the baby was not on formula. He is also refusing to let a lactation consultant testify because he doesn't find it important.
