New parental law does nothing for children’s interests

California passed a new law giving courts the right to recognize three or more legal parents for a child. SB 274, signed by Governor Jerry Brown and crafted by Senator Mark Leno, is designed for instances when two or more parents share custody, visitation rights and responsibilities of the child. Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com, tells OneNewsNow that judges do not need this new law to protect the best interests of children.
