Rochelle Trochtenberg knows far too well the challenges of being raised in foster care.
She was rotated in and out of the system for eight years due to an abusive home, before being permanently taken away at 13 to live in a group residence for youth labeled “severely emotionally disturbed.” When Trochtenberg turned 18, she found herself out on the streets.
