Inquiry told Manitoba child welfare improved since girl's death

One of Manitoba's largest child welfare authorities says changes made since the death of a five-year-old girl have made the system one of the best in Canada.

    I call bs... This is a blanket, meaningless statement to appease the public. Nearly identical newsline headings followed my daughter, Samantha Martin's death, "Foster care system is improving: minister" "New system designed to better care for foster children" and STILL children continue to die! - Velvet Martin
