Utah spends approximately $153 million for child abuse investigations

The Utah Division of Child and Family Services spent ap­proximately $153.2 million dur­ing its 2012 fiscal year to investi­gate 18,831 child abuse com­plaints, 35 percent of which were found to be supported cases.

Note: That means that 65% of these investigations were wasted money.
