Report: Disabled parents face bias, loss of kids

Millions of Americans with disabilities have gained innumerable rights and opportunities since Congress passed landmark legislation on their behalf in 1990. And yet advocates say barriers and bias still abound when it comes to one basic human right: To be a parent.

  1. Boy! I know that's right! The state of Missouri has really screwed me and my family UP! Jefferson County Children's Division and CPS worker Sandra Brown alongside her court jesters and Judge Darrell Missey, because the Judge's mother was Bi-Polar and he was raised in the foster system he took it out on me, too! I have BiPolar II and Depression and Anxiety from a childhood illness - encephalitis. When my daughter was 16 back in 2009 and my son was 13 because she wanted to go to CA to live with "rich daddy" Dmitry and his wife Mary and got tired of "Mommy" telling her what to do all the time she blabbed child abuse. They had no evidence of any kind of abuse and it was her word against mine. So they sent her there. Her brother, Nick was a half brother so they kept him in foster care and no matter what I couldn't get him back altho I had everything he needed. They said I was too "emotional" to parent my teens. Now he's 16 1/2 and my daughter is aged out of the system and they sent my son to live with Kate and her daddy and his wife in CA and are giving them guardianship! All because of my mental illness. That's discrimination! I pray for a Pro Bono attorney to sue the state of Missouri for Discrimination and being bias!
