CWC slammed for giving away rape victim's child for adoption
The Child Welfare Committee's act of giving away for adoption a girl child, born to a rape victim and given to it for safekeeping, without biological parents' consent was gross violation of human rights, a Delhi court has held, observing that the rich and poor hold equal rights.
