Mother fights for cancer treatment for foster daughter

Paulette Nellems has played a number of roles throughout her life—daughter, wife, church member and worker and civil rights activist. In the past year or so, she’s become known to the community as the president of the Fort Wayne Chapter of the NAACP. But of all the roles she plays in life, there’s one that is of paramount importance— that of a mother.
