DHS boss unbowed in the face of controversies
HOWARD Hendrick has had better stretches during his 13 years as head of the Department of Human Services. Hendrick's agency has caught flak from several corners, including this page, over the recent high-profile death of a child, and the board that oversees DHS is under scrutiny for the way it conducts its business.
