Child trafficking not seen as a child protection issue

Child trafficking not seen as a child protection issue

The hidden world of child sexual exploitation hit the headlines last week, with the announcement by children's minister Tim Loughton of a new action plan to tackle the crime. This was a welcome acknowledgment that child trafficking is a much bigger problem than the government thought.

Note: I have a theory on this. Here goes...

Sexually trafficked children are damaged and not as adoptable as a healthy white newborn, and therefore must be sold at a discount, creating a potential loss in revenue for the British Child Protective Industry. And we all know that British social workers don't help kids.

It's all about the money. They don't really care about the kids.

  1. MY THOUGHTS

Yesterday David Cameron was reported as saying that he would take action against, the selling of babies that were being smuggled into the Country and sold for £16,000.

I made a comment saying that if the Government were in no hurry to oversee the implementation of Eileen Munro recommendations into child protection, regarding Social Services reforms, they would hardly take the selling of babies as a serious option.

And now the child trafficking issue is another problem within the UK, the trafficking and abuse of children that are brought from abroad and exploited.

If the Government fail to take any interest in the amount of children that are being forcibly adopted, via the secret family courts in the UK, and think it is acceptable for innocent parents to have their children wrongly taken into care, and their life’s ruined forever, there is very little hope of them taking interest of the amount of children coming from abroad, that are being sexually exploited.

The Governments stance on children and families is a complete disgrace.

And that is without mentioning Local Authority failings resulting in child deaths.

Learning from past mistakes, and the amount of serious case reviews, resulting in the cost at the taxpayers expense.
