Three child sexual abuse cases at welfare homes reported in 2010

THREE child sexual abuse cases which occurred at welfare homes were recorded by police last year.

Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister, Senator Heng Seai Kie said the ministry gave serious attention to the issue of sexual crime against children at welfare homes, in line with its focus on creating ‘safe childhood’.
