Foster child's history was a mystery - and so were her terrifying symptoms

Foster child's history was a mystery - and so were her terrifying symptoms
Note: Kind of a catchy headline for an article that pretty much discusses two wonderful foster parents who wanted to give a group of siblings a forever home after their being bounced through the system.
Maria and Todd Jameson fought the urge to get their hopes up. They had seen too many children plucked away before they'd even had a chance to meet them.
It does kind of point out something interesting though. How can a foster parent adequately take care of a child's medical needs if nobody can get their health history?

How can you get a childs history from a syatem which doesn't listen to the parent, and/or changes everything a parent tells them to begin with.

There is one possible solution to figuring out what a childs physiology is, when their medical history has been lost or thrown away. And it isn't a bloodtest.
