A Matawan woman was indicted last week on charges of sexually assaulting a girl she was mentoring in Franklin Township and giving the child prescription medication, according to court papers.

The mentor program is a community-based rehabilitation service that provides programs for people with disabilities and children with emotional and behavioral challenges. The victim attended a program that focused on therapeutic foster care in private, family homes.
