California welfare recipients withdrew more than $1.8 million in taxpayer cash on casino floors between October 2009 and May 2010, state officials said Thursday.
I suspect quite a bit of the money is taken out by part-time casino (and neighboring businesses) employees who are member of a tribe and work there but don't make enough to support their families completely. But I'm certain some of it was spent there by people who shouldn't be there.
That's great.....now casinos money is being utilized for welfare purposes.
