i am a mother of 4. my kids were taken by Cps in may 2009. my youngest son suffered from a head injury while playing with his older brother. they gave us 30Min's to find a safety plan person. we told them we wouldn't be able to get the info for about an hour. 10 minutes later the cps case said that they had verbal warrant to place the kids in their care. my husband received a "service plan". they said by completing or service plan reunification will be bestowed upon us. by law in the state of Texas Cps has 1year to either reunify or take all parental rights form the parents and the kids will be placed in foster care, shelter, and adoption.. Well in my case, we finished our service plan in Oct 09. this may will be one year. all this time they have done ! home visit. we have had 11 myths of 2 hr monthly supervised visit. my kids have been placed with 2 foster families. the first family my 3 yr. old daughter nearly got her finger cut off by a lawn mower. my son pulled her away before she could. we have complained to cps about that incident.. it was never filed.. while my kids were placed in the kids shelter my oldest son was beaten up by older kids. balls were kicked in my daughters faces. every visit they were coming with bruises, bite marks, and scratches. the case worker also failed to write that report.An they claim they take better care of our kids!! WHAT THE FUCK EVER.. after sometime kids were able to live with my mother in-law. THEN they had my in-laws go to adoption classes and had them filling out adoption applications! But cps "goal is reunify our family". once she got sick and admitted into the hospital for 3 days. they replaced my kids with foster care. my kids are still in foster care.. wow! they really do good. cps ordered child support from me, my husband, and y ex husband; separately. which is ok. together my husband and i pay a lil more than $700 a month aside from rent and bills. CRAZY..WE take the kids all their necessities to every visit. thats not good, according to CPS the MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT. they can keep your kids longer until you are up to date on your child support. Cps is the devil to me. they should put on their contract and slogan" you can get your kids back if you are not forthcoming to wat they want you to say and do. by being a full time student you are not putting your kids as priority. you cant get your kids back in a emergency situation because they lack in their duties 7mths after you finish your service or safety plan". i believe all that we have done speaks for how badly we want our kids home. we should have had our kids home along time ago.. they claim I'm not compliant with my service plan because of on going couple counseling they assigned us. it's not fair that we continue have depression, sadness, and emptiness because they choose not to their job in a timely manner.. i pray to god every day that he returns my kids. i have the best lawyer in town and I Am FIGHTING FOR MY KIDS... I am innocent in any convictions they want against me. My kids are coming home!!! take it from me; YOU CAN BEAT CPS. FIGHT for who you love. it's a long and hard battle; but IT'S WORTH THE FIGHT FOR YOU KIDS..

p.s. take notes of every phone call, home visit, any meeting with your case worker. tape record your conversations if you must.. its your word against theirs. so protect your family.
