Family Court Children Given A Blanket Of Security

Family Court Children Given A Blanket Of Security

The thought of having to appear in a court of law as a victim or witness of a crime is a deeply stressful situation for any adult. Just think how much worse it is if you are a child.

That's why Chautauqua County Quilts for Kids, a group of local volunteers who make quilts to help comfort children involved in court cases, work so diligently to make a difference; stitch by stitch. The nimble-fingered group donates quilts to the New York State Unified Court System's Child Care Center in Mayville and is operated locally by Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc., a local community action agency. They also donate to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a child advocacy group who works with abused and neglected area children.

Note: Awwww.

Is there supposed to be something negative associated with this?

  2. Yeah, they make you think that a blanked makes everything all better.

Same with a suitcase. Makes moving from home to home is much easier when you don't have to put everything into trash bags.
