Charity concerned about foster childcare

Charity concerned about foster childcare

A CHARITY is concerned about the number of children being cared for unofficially by people who are not close relatives.

With a rate of only 6% poor treatment versus the 30%+ abuse rate in government sponsored care, these private fostering arrangements appear to be a lot better than the government's care. Maybe it's because the parent(s) can terminate it, at any time, and can visit whenever they want to, that make it better. If they're so concerned they need to find out why they are so much better rather than be concerned with whether they're state sanctioned. State sanctioned care is known to have an 80% failure rate.
