Outside group would review cases of children hurt in foster care
Child abuse investigations that involved so-called "related parties" -- foster parents and other state providers -- would be conducted by independent contractors if HB86 becomes law. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Rebecca Lockhart, R-Provo, unanimously passed the Health and Human Services subcommittee Tuesday.
