Abuse allegations at Lansing detention center
Tamara McGill says her fifteen year old daughter, Akua suffered a black eye and burn marks on her face after she was physically restrained by a staff member at the Lansing Residential Center earlier this month. McGill says the staff member at Lansing used a restraint method called the hook on her daughter and she questions the need for such aggressive restraining measures on a fifteen year old girl.
