Social services report 'critical'

A report into social services at Birmingham City Council is expected to be highly critical.

  1. While they are busy taking Babies away from Mothers, within hours of birth, on Emergency Protection Orders, with no real evidence to support such drastic action, other Children are falling through the net.
Care Proceedings have increased to well over 50%, in the West Midlands.
With the increase in Care Proceedings comes the need for more Guardians, and there is a large waiting list for these Professionals,,which again is resulting in a bag log of Cases, within the Family Court arena, which could again leave a Child, at risk of abuse, or even death.
Children in Care, are being left without Social Workers,it is like living in the dark days of the work houses, and the Oliver Twist scenario.
I urge all County Councilors in the Birmingham area, to do their duty, under the clause of Corporate Parent, to oversee these Services, and act accordingly.
I await this report with despair.
