Mother sues over baby death
The mother of a 14 month old toddler who died 8 months ago has named Tompkins County in a pending wrongful death lawsuit. Kristine Freda's son, Adrian Hines died last October after he was removed from Freda's home and placed in foster care. Freda's attorney Edward Kopko says there was an "appalling catastrophic failure" by the Tompkins County Department of Social Services for placing Adrian Hines in what he called a "dangerous" environment.
Heartbreaking story. Another fine job by DSS/CPS.
