Protection of children must be the priority
The purpose of Arizona's Child Protective Services (CPS) seems clear from its name: to prevent children from being harmed.
Yet, some believe there has been more focus on keeping families together than protecting children. They believe this has resulted in abuse of children that has sometimes ended in their deaths.
Note: All a bill like this would do is punish children who get a boo boo from falling off their skateboards, by tearing their families apart.

ReplyDeleteA jump from the side of the bath, my 3 year old son landed awkwardly,and was obviously in a lot of pain,and couldn't weight bear, on his right leg.
A trip to Hospital, led to a Child Protection investigation.
We were accused of Non accidental Injury, as our son was found to be suffering from a spiral fracture of the right tibia.
A Paediatric Radiologist was given a set of x rays,and asked to make an opinion, on no occasion, did he see us, or our son.
Our beloved Child was taken from Hospital,on a Place of Safety Order,and put into Foster Care.
We didn't know where he had been placed for two weeks.
In the end, the powers to be backed down,and said the fracture,could of been caused accidentally
After twelve agonising weeks,our son was returned,
The Local Authority, had left our other son with us, my comments were, surely if one Child was at risk, why was our other son left with us?
Scott was diagnosed with OI,Brittle bone disease.
