DR PHIL SHOW

This comes from Cindy...

DR PHIL SHOW

Last week Dr Phil had a show, on which he touched on the outrages things that happen to children in fostercare. And how as he put it one young man on his stage had fallen through the cracks.Dr Phil said that this was an issue near and dear to his wife's heart, and that they were working with something called CASA (which turns out to be a Texas Only group that has trained child advocates) which they support because they are such caring people.(RIGHT!)

Well I immediately jumped up and sent them an email asking them were and how do I get one of these advocates for Josh. I have yet to here back from them. Not even a computer generated email came back. DR PHIL AND HIS WIFE ARE ALL BLOW AND NO GO, and that is sad.

If Dr Phil and his wife really wanted to make some changes they would be supporting some of us out there who advocate under or own nickel to save some child some where. The one that I have picked last year and going into this new year is Josh. So let me tell you about Josh.

Josh's mother is a product of the Child Welfare system. Removed from her mother because she kept running away and raised in many many foster homes and group homes. She has an IQ of 72, which the system new about when they talked her into signing over her first born when she was 18, and sent her out there to try again. She did and had Josh. She would not let him go, so they put her in an apartment, and said try again, which she did and had Starla. Then two more in five years. When she got pregnant with the last one they decided that she was just to stupid to be a mother and took the children. Josh and Starla were very close to there mother, both have suffered badly. The new baby was removed from the hospital two days after his birth. Josh's mom hasn't been the same sense.

Josh always wanted to go home when he saw his mother, and after he was taken back to his multiple foster homes he would cry and rage for hours. His foster mother would lock him in his room for days. (A crime in this state if you are anything other then a foster parent). A foster father beat him till he had to be hospitalized (a crime in this state if you are anything other then a foster parent). Josh pitch a fit in day care, and the social worker was called (She said on the stand that she was capable of getting Josh to calm down with out any problems, where Josh mom was not) The social worker took him to the hospital, were she called law enforcement to come to the hospital and restrain a four year old so that could administer drugs to subdue him.( I can not even tell you what a serious and horrible human rights violation that was, amoung other things, but perfectly ok because it was a social worker). Then they put him in a lock down facility for sex offenders. Called it behavior modification. (YEH JOSH YOU HAD BETTER LEARN HOW TO BE A SEX OFFENDER) They did this with out a court order. (CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY LAWS THEY VIOLATED THERE BUT OH WELL) Josh's advocate thought this was just great, she likes Namique, said she sends lots of children there (DON'T MOVE TO NORTHEASTERN COLORADO IN 10 TO 15 YEARS). I called every news station, paper and attorney who represents children I could find to get him out, and did accomplish that but we no longer no were Josh is. They had a termination hearing but the judge has never made a ruling, so Josh and his sister are in limbo, there mother can't see them, and on and on and on and on.

All of Josh's extended family would take him, but they don't meet SS standard (NO RECORD OF CHILD MOLESTATION OR ABUSE).

The bad news is as bad as this story is it is just one of many I have dealt with, and will probably deal with.

Dr Phil would just say Josh fell through the cracks. I would say he was stomped through.

If people like Dr Phil really wanted to help, he would give people like me and LEGALKIDNAPPING and many many more a bigger voice. Hell I would settle for the opportunity to champion these Josh and others more openly.

Forget it Dr Phil, theres nothing you can do.

Josh the Final Chapter

Josh is gone. Judge ruled after months to terminate parental rights.Agrees with SS that mother is to dumb to raise children.

Josh, his sister, and two brothers are gone forever. The whole family is in depression. Mom will probably never recover.

SS's plan for Josh is to never leave him anywhere long enough to get comfortable in hopes that he does not act out. If he does act out, a trip to the state hospital will be in order.

Can you imagine that a judge would think that depriving a four year old of love and stability for until he is eighteen is reasonable. And that he should be hospitalized if he becomes unhappy about it.

The babies will be adopted by their present foster family. Joshes sister is still up for grabs. She has problems created by the system also. Who ever takes her has to deal with the physical and emotional problems of being sexually abused in one of her foster homes before her second birthday.

I move on to the next one. Hope it turns out better then this one.

You know, I really urge people to post comments on such as the issue raised here:

Those who attempt to put on a show and appear helpful WHILE THE SPOTLIGHT IS ON THEM and then take the credit as a do-gooder, but offer no follow-through.

These individuals are perhaps as worse as those who harm a child in the first place because they offer false hope and limited protection. This is an abusive use of power and people's faith.
