'She didn't look like this when she went into foster care'

She didn't look like this when she went into foster care

An Omaha girl was put in foster care 2½ years ago when a state worker questioned whether the girl was safe with her mother.

Now the mother is questioning how safe her daughter is in the state's care.

Note: It's in the child's best interest, you know.

  1. CPS blew it but her mother was arrested for drunk driving with her in the car, and suffered some mental illnesses. Shouldn't we want to reform CPS not leave children with cretin who will kill them?

I had to do a double-take when I saw the face of this poor little one. The harm inflicted upon her face is near to that done to my precious child in foster placement. Let me be clear: Our child was not taken from us, but instead, we were informed by CPS that because of our child being born with chromosome disorder that would cause severe medical and developmental needs, the sole way to obtain services & funding to ensure her progress and health would be to allow her to live within foster care... Funding could not be allotted to natural family, only to foster placements! Look at that child's picture and see the type of "care" received...

  3. Once again the so called Child Protectors, have failed in their duties to safeguard a vulnerable Child, with reference to injuries obtained while in Foster Care.
I feel so angry, that a Child can be placed into Foster Care, and get funding to ensure that the Child of Anonymous, would get funding to ensure that her Medical and development needs would be stable, due to the Child having a chromosome disorder.
The decision by Social Services, is an absolute violation of Human Rights.
It just shows the corruption, within the system, that the CPS,would rather waste millions of the taxpayers money, by placing the child with Foster Carers.
If there was an issue with the Natural Parents, why couldn't the Kin care clause be used.
